An experienced finance professional with over 16 years, Shaun has senior financial management and accounting experience within professional services, IT and hospitality industry.

This includes a wide range of experience in roles such as managing service delivery, client management, strategic planning, project management and financial reporting. Shaun also possesses over 5 years’ experience as the Managing Director of his business focused at the private sector.

In his current role as Financial Controller at Anson Business Services, Shaun is responsible for financial reporting, overseeing all aspects in management accounting, service delivery for not-for-profit clients and statutory reporting.

Skills / Competency

  • Process innovation and improvement – implementing and refining processes for the day-to-day reporting for multiple sites in the state, with the added complexity of reporting for different business units for the same sites. Other responsibilities included reporting within five business days from historical practices of 14 days after end of month.

  • Multiple system migrations – overseeing system/software migrations and implementations with zero downtime and delays, including accounting systems, payroll systems, and CRM systems.

  • Risk mitigation – implementation of internal controls and audit compliance practices for different organisations in order to achieve best practice compliance.

  • Multiple industry understanding and experience – Industry experiences are but not limited to are Hotel Management, Strata Management, Real Estate, Software Industry, Food and Beverage Industry, Not for Profit Industry, Retail Industry, Security Industry, Labour Hire Industry, Medical Industry

Qualifications / Licenses

  • Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting & Hospitality Management - Edith Cowan University
  • Member of Institute of Public Accountants - Institute of Public Accountants (Qualified)
